The splendid Österstjernan packet yacht has been the highlight of Loviisa Laivasilta since 2006. Österstjernan is a replica of a sailing ship, which sailed between Loviisa and Stockholm in the 19th century. The original Österstjernan was built in Pietarsaari between 1813 and 1814. The current Österstjernan is based on the original ship documents and on a painting dating back to the 1820s.
